Contents (Beschrijving)
This course offers an introduction into the fundamental insights of organization theory dealing with questions like: What are organizations? How are they structured? How do they interact with their environment? What is organizational culture? And how are organizations designed and managed? Organizations are complex systems and consist of people with different interpretation-schemes. As a result, organizations have to deal with a variety of problems and dilemmas. The course offers students methods and instruments to diagnose organizational problems and to deal with the problems and dilemmas of organizing. Content: Apart from studying and discussing a text on organization theory, the students will make presentations of their analysis and views on selected business cases
