Prerequisites (Toelatingsvoorwaarden)
Capita Selecta Gender Studies can be taken as an optional subject. The student is expected to have some knowledge of gender studies at least equivalent to an introductory course to the discipline and at least one specialised course.
The examination should be arranged with the lecturer at least one month in advance.

Contents (Inhoud / Omschrijving)
Students will increase their knowledge of gender studies, with the emphasis on epistemological and methodological discussions and recent theory forming. In addition a number of case studies will be examined.

Literature (Literatuur)
This can be selected from a standard list of works available from the lecturer. Please make an appointment with the lecturer to discuss the literature before you start reading. The lecturer can advise on the literature that is best suited to the interests of the student.
